I've been kinda enjoying making these templates from the scrap layouts I've created recently. Hoping to make more templates in the future and perhaps a mini kit soon. I'm also excited to showcase a few photo frames I've created last year (I've created a few for my personal use). So for now, here's my second template for you. Just click the file attached at the end of this entry. Don't forget to leave some love at the comments section below or send me your layout you made using my template.
Here's my layout from which I derived my template no.2. This is also my entry for Three Paper Peonies' scrap challenge: what have you learned lately?. I have 4 layouts but only 1 entry per person is allowed. Credits: Everything from the Three Paper Peonies. ^_^

Hoping to continue making templates, quickpages, and perhaps digital scrapbooking kits in the future. If you like, you can grab it here for free. Just leave some love at the comments section. Hehehe… Murag korek… Hehehe… This is my Template 01 (still thinking something to name my templates). This is my layout using this template. | | friday afternoon, papa kim offered to put yano to sleep while i enjoyed the internet. hehehe... it's ok with him since he wanted to take a nap as well... hahaha...
we both usually put makuy & yano to sleep this way... on our tummy. i was not able to find a photo where baby makuy was in the same position (didn't have a good camera then). fortunately, i had this last photo taken last february 2008, kuya makuy was then 3-1/2 years old and we were already here in al ain. same position, we still let him sleep on out tummy even when he is a little bigger then. now, no more... he's too big and heavy... hahaha...
it feels good for us and we believe for the makuy and yano also that we have them sleep on our tummy. for the babies, our warm bodies are comforting for them and when we breathe, it seems that they are lulled to sleep. and lastly, for us it seems to be a bonding moment for the parent and child. |
| | i was enjoying taking photos of yano's tiny toes... however, his toes now are a lot more bigger than when he was born. hhmmm... he really gone a lot, lot bigger now, even his cheeks are puffed out already now. hehehe... |
| | friday night, papa promised kuya that we'll go to the park the next day, saturday morning. almost 6am, i was feeding yano when kuya makuy woke up... it's a miracle! he usually wakes up at around 9-10am. he must have remembered that we are going to the park and he has to wake up early to go. kim prepared hotdog-and-bun for breakfast at the park. we were supposed to go to jahli park but since we left the house past 7am, we decided to go tomubazzarah park instead. there are playgrounds there as well and it's closer to our house. makuy had fun and he met a friend there, too. |
| | friends from abu dhabi came to visit us at home and it was also an opportunity for us to get together with our other friends here in al ain.
kim prepared lunch (roast pork belly, adobong pusit, shrimp soup), doming brought fish to fry and aying brought krispy kreme for desert. it was a hot day, nagsige pajud brownout and we don't have ac in the living room.
here are some photos from aying and grabbed a couple at her multiply... tnx ying. :p |
| | just found some time to scrap in between the little boy's sleeps. made some quick layouts using ready made templates and a quick page, freebies form the net. |
| | today, yano turned 1 month old. it was just like a few days ago that we held him in our arms, so small and so fragile. now, 1 month after, he's grown taller, heavier and cuter... he already have chubby cheeks now. hehehe...
thank you Lord for our little survivor... |
| | latest rendition of kuya makuy...
now, he's into his thomas & friends trains again. |
| | bonding time for my boys and i just had the urge to take a few shots... just wanted to save these moments. |
july 17, 2009 friends came to visit us at home, most of them were from abu dhabi and 1 from dubai and others from al ain. i also received my bags from two oranges which i purchased last month for yano's diaper bag. i asked the owner of the two oranges to mail it to shang while they were still in cebu and shang will be the one to bring it here in uae. i was so excited and i was so satisfied with the bags. i hope i could still purchase two more, 1 large bag and 1 bag for my future laptop? hahaha... i thinks others also liked it since i let them see the bags when they visited us. to two oranges, thanks so much... i really like the bags. for those who like to see their bags, visit them at http://2oranges.multiply.com. : : : : : : : the photos from our friends' visit will be posted soon, just have to ask some photos from friends since i was not able to take photos. hehehe...
| | i scrapped yano last night using a quick page freebie i was able to download before. i just added come texts and a word art then it's done.
"yano" derived from kim's late father's name, victoriano, "iano". then searching the net, we were able to know that yano is another word for "a simple life".
we all wanted to have a simple life that's full of love, peace and joy. |
received this forwarded email from kim today. very interesting. it's worth a try specially in the philippines where so much mosquitos. Mosquito trap (Dengue prevention) It's just a mix of water, brown sugar and yeast. 1. Cut a plastic bottle in half, keep both parts. Can be Coca Cola / Pepsi bottle. 2. Take the lower portion of the bottle. Dissolve the brown sugar in hot water. Let it cool down to ~70 degF. 3. Add the yeast. Carbon dioxide will form (This will attract the mosquitos) 4. Cover the bottle with a dark wrap and place the top portion upside down like a funnel. Place it in a corner in your house. 5. In 2 weeks you will be surprised by the number of mosquitos killed.
| | this was taken during my delivery on fathers day. close friends all came to visit us. they gathered together at the reception area of oasis hospital while i was still at the special care unit.
thanks to aying for these photos... =)) |
| | last week, thursday, yano was a bit hot to the touch. i was concern he might be having fever and when we took his temperature he was having fever, 37.5 & 37.8. we decided to go to the hospital and have him checked just to make sure he's okay. but the doctor said the temperature was too high for a baby and he decided to have him admited overnight since he wanted to make some blood tests. so, we were all admitted, the entire family spent the weekend at the hospital and it was not just overnight but 2 days. the pedias decided to put him on an iv fluid and antibiotic since they found a little infection from the first blood test result. we were discharged sunday morning after yano's blood culture came out negative (no growth of bacteria). it was a relief that at last yano won't be hooked on an iv or any antibiotics.
most of the pinoy nurses and laboratory technicians in the hospital said that it could come from me since the baby is sterile when he was born, so the infection could come from the mothers. then kim and i thought maybe it was from when i was still in the second trimester that i felt i was having fever but kim and the thermometer could not confirmed it, maybe the fever was inside and another circumstance was during my first trimester that i had this little infection in the urine. maybe that was it.
makuy was also admitted to the hospital when he was still very small, i think almost the same with yano and they could not pinpoint the reason. maybe again it was from me.
here are a few photos of yano at the hospital. |
before i forget, i'd like to post our father's day celebration. i was supposed to post this on the father's day itself but i gave birth that day. june 21, 2009 was the father's day... since it was a sunday and kim has to work, we celebrated father's day on saturday, june 20. we went to bawadi mall and stroll around. papa and makuy had a bonding moment at the fun city while i was just at the distance watching them. then we ate at the kfc and finished off with a coldstone ice cream. then i bought them a basketball, one for papa and a smaller one for makuy. i also planned to buy kim a shoes for work but he didn't found something he likes, maybe next time, i still planned to buy him one even if it's not father's day. it was a nice father's day celebration, a simple one. and to papa kim... happy father's day b and thank you so much for unconditionally loving us. yes it's true... he could have all he wanted but instead he would just give it to us... "kaonon nalang unta niya pero iya pa jud i-hatag sa amoa... bahala na sa iya basta kami mamaayo." here are a few photos of papa and makuy... xoxo
| | some of kuya's colored pens drawings while on summer vacation. right now, he usually draw nature and sea creatures. |
| | starting to get bored at home. i still can't move just yet... have to take it easy as the doctors said. so, to take away the boredom, i took some photos of yano and a couple with kuya makuy. |
| | it's been 6 days now since the little brother arrived. we're happy and grateful to God that all was well inspite of some circumstances that occured during the birth of our youngest son.
to all our friends, hospital staff (doctors, nurses & patient escorts), chaplain and pastor & those others who came to show support... we are deeply grateful for visiting, taking care of us and for all the prayers and support. God will surely bless you more.
here are some photos of YANO UNABIA LIM. june 21, 2009 7:04 am 2.42 kls. 45 cm height oasis hospital, al ain, uae
he arrived earlier than we thought at 36 weeks & 4 days on father's day. i was thinking of what to give to kim on father's day and yano came. maybe he wanted to surprise papa kim. |
